Started as a DIY passion project in Hackney in 2011, with the aim of supporting emerging artists and creating an alternative to stagnant mainstream radio, the platform has over 600 resident hosts: musicians, DJs artists and record collectors.
Tune into two live channels 24/7, more than a sixteen Infinite Mixtape channels, or listen back to tens of thousands of archive shows spanning countless genres; from hip-hop to techno, jazz to afrobeats and disco to ambient.

Use the NTS app daily on my phone. I’ve been an dedicated NTS Radio listener since 2014 so almost 10 years!! I use the genre—> subgenre filter to find hour length shows dedicated to a variety of my favorite sounds:
ambient/ vaporwave / experimental hip hop / euro house / electro / gabber / trance / experimental / noise / minimalism / field recordings / native american rock / grindcore etc

Absolute best radio, horrible app (Feedback below)
NTS is finally what i Was looking for in terms of music. The stream quality does not let me enjoy it though. Streaming stops (not alaways) after few minites of inactivity, especially when i am listening to a Bluetooth device. Sometimes it goes down if i lock the screen. After that I cant restart the playback from the locked screen, even though NTS is shown. I have to reopen the app and hit play on the other chanel, than restart the original one. I’ve had issues with the transmission on the desktop with up to date win8 and Chrome, on my New and Old IPhone Se. My friends (elsewhere) also having issues. My Web connection can easily stream fullHD.
The app is beautiful, clear and responsive, but VERY battery draining (multiple times more then Sptf). A Mobile chatroom would be a nice addition, ofc. Personally i would like to have more „storage customalisation”- adding notes, stars or colors to saved shows, creating folders or playlists.
I am forever grateful to the artists and creators behind the NTS!

loving the app, using it daily. there is however an issue with battery draining when app is left open in the background. happened only twice so far on a 12 mini.
