Portal - Immersive Escapes 4+

Wonderful experience, I use it for working, relaxing, almost all day sometimes.

If I could give a couple of tips for further development is that for the breathing exercises it would be nice to have the option of a sound feedback when I just want to close my eyes and not hold my phone in my hand (for the haptic feedback). Also stopping the exercise could be a little easier as I feel like there are too many taps required. I really hope that over time this feature gets developed further and the library of exercises gets expanded.

Other than that I am truly in awe of what an amazing work the developers of this app have done.

On your suggestions to introduce sound feedback for the breathing exercises, the good news is we have something up our sleeve for this and can't wait until we can release this. We're currently in the middle of a couple of large developments - but once we have completed these, we'll be sure to get around to developing out the breathing exercise feature. We're still a small independent team, so these builds take us a little time - so please bear with us.

I love the philosophy behind this app. The quality of recordings is awesome and the authors don't track you or collect your data. One thing I would add to the app is the ability to download the portals on the computer and use them offline.

Absolutely, over the moon that Portal's holds top billing as your favourite app! ❤️

And we couldn't be happier to bring it over to Mac - it's been something that we know a lot of the Portal Community has been wanting for some time, including ourselves!

On the offline functionality, the good news is this is definitely on the roadmap. It requires a fairly tricky technical build, but we didn't want to hold up the actually release of the Mac app any longer so decided to launch it without it at present. But please don't worry, it's on our list of feature to introduce in the not too distant future. So please watch this space!

Just one tiny thing, I really don’t understand why there is no version for macOS… 😭
That would make everything so much easier..

Update: Hi hdjddhhd, I come bearing some good news...we've recently brought Portal to Mac and have purposefully designed it so that it enhances productivity, inspires creativity and altogether improves your working day.

It's now available in the Mac App Store and we hope you thoroughly enjoy it! 😊

In truth a 💻 version is something that we, as a team, as well as other members of the Portal Community have been craving for some time now...

And the exciting news is we are in the middle of building it!!!

Although, just as a heads up so it doesn't come as too much of a surprise, our native Mac version wont be a direct like-for-like transition from iOS/iPadOS to MacOS. With the Mac we're hoping to create an experience that's purposefully crafted to improve productivity, inspire creativity and altogether enhance people's working day.

The Mac version will also see Portal's first major design overhaul - which is in part due our current iOS & iPadOS design being very touch-based. The overhaul also gives us a great opportunity to redesign the Library to make it easier to navigate as we continue to grow our collections. And the good news is we've got lots more to come on the collection front. In fact we've recently returned from a filming expedition - one that promises to provide an absolutely incredible new collection in the coming months.
