Aplikacja powietrze Kraków ma 3 podstawowe funkcje. Pokazuje aktualny stan powietrza (średnią dla miasta) z możliwością wyboru konkretnej stacji pomiarowej. Informacje liczbowe są ilustrowane ikonkami, które rekomendują dany rodzaj ruchu.
W aplikacji jest również baza wiedzy, informację o zanieczyszczeniach, podjęte działania w walce ze smogiem.
Aplikacja ma też możliwość wysyłania raportów. Jeśli użytkownik widzi dziwny dym, palone śmieci to może z aplikacji wysłać automatycznie zdjęcie z lokalizacją takiego paleniska.
