Use PS Remote Play to access your PS5™ or PS4™ wherever you go.
With PS Remote Play, you can:
• Display the PlayStation®5 or PlayStation®4 screen on your mobile device.
• Use the on-screen controller on your mobile device to control your PS5 or PS4.
• Connect your DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller.
• Connect your DualSense™ wireless controller to mobile devices with iOS 14.5/iPadOS 14.5 or later installed.
• Connect your DualSense Edge™ wireless controller to mobile devices with iOS 16.4/iPadOS 16.4 or later installed.
• Join voice chats using the mic on your mobile device.
• Enter text on your PS5 or PS4 using the keyboard on your mobile device.
To use this app, you need the following:
• A mobile device with iOS 14/iPadOS 14 or later installed
• A PS5 or PS4 console with the latest system software version
• An account for PlayStation Network
• A fast and stable internet connection
When using mobile data:
• Depending on your carrier and network conditions, you may not be able to use Remote Play.
• Remote Play uses a lot more data than most video streaming services. Data charges may apply.
Note:
• This app may not be compatible with some games.
• You need to grant this app access to connect to devices on your local network. If you haven't already, you can do this from the Settings menu on your iOS or iPadOS device.
• Your controller may vibrate differently from when playing on your PS5 or PS4 console.

Can’t connect from work
Strange thing. It works when I’m talking on the phone but when I end conversation the screen turns gray and won’t connect more. Any help please? My home internet connection is good but something wrong is happening on my iPad. I use connection from my phone hotspot wifi at work. Download speed at 25 Mb/s and upload around 3 Mb/s. Checked from iPad directly. Works when I’m on the phone and disconnect when I’m not talking. What could it be?
Issues with speed and latency
Don’t get me wrong. I love PS Apps. I like playing remotely on my iPad Pro 12.9. I couldnt contact Sony in this case, thats why i wrote this review.
I have PS4 connected with my internet by wire. My iPad is connected on 5Ghz WiFi - which gets full potential of my internet 200mbps download and 20mbps upload.
So why randomly my experience playing remotely is bad. Sometimes speed drops down a lot, I see pixels on screen or other glitches and game slows down. Latency is also noticable worst than playing directly on my ps4.
I think this app should have feature to be able to play only locally, so it could take full potential of direct WiFi play. There should be option to check if someone is playing in home enviromment. My router reaches speeds up to 2400mbps. There is no way I would get bad experience on that speeds. If I am right, currently I am connecting via this app with some Sony cloud server and then with my ps4. But with this option The app would connect directly with my ps4 through my local wifi.
This should solve experience for people that plays remotely from within their houses.
Bad bad bad
1) Impossible to play with a gamepad connected to the PS5. You need to connect it directly to the mobile device. Why Xbox app can do this and you can’t? I don’t want to reconnect all the time, when I’m playing in the same room.
2) Video quality is a joke, okay I know it is 720p, but i bet it is not. Again, on Xbox app I have a great quality from XSX.
I’m more of a PS user, but this app is just very bad and should be updated quickly, as IT IS POSSIBLE to create a comfortable remote playing experience. You just didn’t manage to or don’t want to…
