Then you just create a group and send 20 links to your friends from contact list and Viber automatically blocks you As a spammer, then you contact the support team and robot says you are blocked goodbye . No discussion no chances to provide proofs . Be careful . Shocking app . All my workflow has stopped.

I don’t recommend this messenger to anyone! I registered Viber with a new phone number for my business, created a group, and invited people to it with whom I had already been in contact through other phone numbers. I managed to invite a few people, and then my account was permanently blocked! They claimed I failed the CAPTCHA, but I am a real person and I was not sending spam! I submitted about five requests to their support team, but NO ONE replied. I am ready to prove that I am a real person and that I do not engage in spamming, but Viber and their support team do not seem to care! They ignore my messages. It says they will review your request within three days, but I haven’t received a single response to my requests for unblocking my number! I use Telegram and WhatsApp and have never had similar problems with them! I’ve already lost several weeks and cannot contact my business clients!! How many emails do I need to send to their support team to get my number unblocked??!!

Very poor customer service!!! I activated Viber on my new phone number and texted my friends, they got a popup from Viber about spam and intuitively accidentally clicked on spam and my number was blocked. My friends then unblocked my number as they realised they had accidentally clicked on spam. But customer service told me that my number is permanently blocked!!!! No one wants to deal with my problem and help me solve it (unblock my phone number). I sent to the support service an explanation of my situation and a screenshot of messages with my friends as a proof that I didn't send any spam. But in reply the same message from the robot. I ended up losing some very important contacts! And all this happened because the pop-up message from Viber is misleading people. This is causing me a lot of trouble. I use WhatsApp and Telegram and have never had such problems with those apps. I don't advise anyone to use Viber unless you want to lose contact with people important to you one day.

Feature “delete without a trace” deletes message for you, but might not for another user. Disaster

I subscribed to the paid version of the app to use the feature “delete without a trace”. I learnt later that it works only when both users use the latest version of the app. So if your interlocutor is using an older version of the app, the message, which you believed was deleted, actually stays on their account without you even knowing this and without you being able to access the message you want to get rid off. It’s better not to have the feature of deleting a message for another user, then to have one that works as if it was a gambling machine. This deprives users of control for their messages and the content they want to share. At least having the message would allow to edit it. But not having one and not even knowing whether it was deleted or not - is a disaster from user perspective and their privacy.
