Seeing Assistant Sailing is an application developed by Transition Technologies S.A. It supports blind and visually impaired sailors. The main task of this app is providing a blind steersman with voice information about the current course. It is our priority that blind and visually impaired individuals can use this function as comfortably as possible.
Available functions:
- Information about the current course of sailing, speed and accuracy, provided cyclically and on demand (shake gestures available).
- Selecting and changing the set course either with easy-to-see buttons or voice recognition.
- Ability to set an acceptable deviation from the set course.
Note: Seeing Assistant Sailing requires a GPS receiver to be constantly on; it may affect the time, your device works on battery.

Aplikacja Seeing Assistant Sailing jest opracowanym w Transition Technologies S.A. produktem, którego celem jest wsparcie osób niewidomych i słabowidzących podczas żeglugi jachtowej. Jej głównym zadaniem jest głosowe informowanie niewidomego sternika o aktualnym kursie płynięcia. Priorytetem było udostępnienie tej funkcji w sposób umożliwiający jej wygodną obsługę przez osoby z dysfunkcją wzroku.
Dostępne funkcje:
- cykliczne oraz na żądanie (gest potrząśnięcia) - sprawdzanie aktualnego kursu, prędkości i dokładności pomiaru;
- ustawienie i zmiana zadanego kursu przy pomocy dobrze widocznych przycisków lub systemu do rozpoznawania mowy;
- możliwość wyboru wartości dla dozwolonego odchyłu od zadanego kursu.
Należy pamiętać, że do poprawnego działania tej aplikacji konieczne jest ciągłe używanie odbiornika sygnału GPS, co może znacznie zmniejszyć czas pracy urządzenia na baterii.
