Sooo satisfying
I’m currently studying aircraft engineering and I have CAD classes on NX. I was jest looking for an app, to open .prt files, but when I saw Shapr3D i had to try it. Thanks to EDU license I can practice modeling in the similar environment as in my classes. The interface is intuitive and has most of the functions i need. I recommend it to anyone who needs to practice his or hers skills in CAD, and to do some simple modeling. If you have more patience, you can probably design anything :)
Nice for homemade projects
I think it’s nice app if you want to make use of your device, to create a small project and explain your idea to others. Appreciate the tutorials. But if I were to actually design something or compete against other projects, I’d use different software, especially if I had to pay for one. It lacks the precision, that can be archived in other CAD software and which would make a significant difference when it comes to mass production. Tangents are not actually tangent, volumes will not be exactly as they should and I hadn’t found a way to archive the result I’d expect from high quality CAD software. But I guess I should not have this kind of expectations from this price tag and device it’s used on. Will definitely keep if I want to design something for my use in the future, since it’s easy to understand, intuitive and user-friendly. But I don’t think I’d choose it if I were a pro.
