Freezing on macOS Sonoma when doing huddle

Whenever a huddle happens and I'm trying to join it, the app freezes for at least 15-20 seconds and does not respond at all so I can't use huddles with the app at all.
The solution is to use it from the web browser (there's been a Chrome/Chromium bug that is related to some macOS apps freezing, and the version after October 25 fixes it, so using huddles from the web browser which has a newer Chromium version (if it's Chromium-based) makes huddles work.

Used to be great

Used to love the app. It was simpler and worked like a charm.
Since a year or two everything changed and app is slow and often crashing. It feels like there's a bunch of product owners who are trying to create new features (that nobody needs) without thinking about performance impact.

Tip for slack: You can fire whoever made this app slow and unreliable and focus on trimming and improving user experience and performance.

Really slow performance

Well, when I start using Slack, it most a year ago, it wasn’t super well written application in case of performance, but… For the time being, even if I am starting Slack, I am getting Connecting banner. It can take up to minutes to see my messages for 4 workspaces. Switching between worspaces is a pain. Reloading messages and jumping between them is awfully slow. My CPU goes up to 100% because of Slack! Restarting application rarely gives some perfomance boost. But really rarely. Messaging must be stupid simple. Easy. It does not require tones of gifies, emoticons and additional stuff.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We really appreciate it! With regards to CPU and memory usage, this is definitely something we're focused on improving, as we know it could be much better. As for your connectivity trouble, please reach out to us at feedback@slack.com and we'd be happy to assist you further.
