Speakly: Learn Languages Fast 4+

I’d give this app 5 stars if not for the live situations bug I keep experiencing - no matter how many times I complete them, it never marks them as complete and it keeps displaying “0x” next to them. The app, however, seems to diligently keep track of how many times I do the exercises (it just never shows it to me) because if I complete it even once on the web page on my laptop (instead of the iOS app), it remembers that I had completed it a few times before and upon refreshing it on my phone, it marks the situation as complete (so it knows that I had completed it at least twice before). I wish it would get fixed so that I could track my progress better without having to use the web page trick. Other than that, Speakly seems to be a great app so far!

In my opinion Speakly is the best app not only for practicing your language skills, but also for learning new languages. No matter how good you know the language, you can find exercises appropriate for your level. I’m learning German and French with Speakly from scratch and I’m very happy with my results. This app gives you new words in full phrases, so from the first lessons you already know how to use these words in everyday life. I also really like hearing exercises, because I can learn how to combine sentences together. Live situations are also very helpful. They let you practice your speaking and teach you how to respond in real life when you’ll be in similar situation. I’ve used many apps for learning languages for example Duolingo, but there are many useless phrases, that don’t have any translation in real life. You can have 2400 days streak and still don’t know how to order food in restaurant. I love Speakly and I hope in future there’ll be more languages to learn such as Swedish, Danish or Japanese.

Seems really ok and like an efficient learning method, nice that you’re forced to actually speak the language. Still there’s one very annoying bug in “Build your vocabulary” - when the sentences are too long I can’t see the whole sentence on my iPhone, part of it just gets cut out
