This means that Strongbox is free with a basic feature set, but if you like there are enhanced Pro features too. You can opt-in to a Free Trial of all the Pro features if you like, no obligations, but most find the Free version perfectly adequate.

• Strongbox provides In-App Purchases (both auto renewable subscriptions and one-off non-consumable) for Pro versions of the App
• An outright/upfront (i.e. non In-App Purchase) option exists also, please see the Strongbox website for details.
• Subscriptions are auto renewable with recurring billing. Cancel anytime.
• The time period of the subscriptions are monthly or yearly at users discretion
• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable

The survivor of a electron’s apocalypse.
It’s literally one of the last native password managers that doesn’t lock you in Apple’s platforms and in the same time integrates with the OS in the greatest possible ways (auto fill, global shortcuts, almost no battery usage and so on). And the best is that it’s the same experience across all OSes.
If you respect your devices’ resources and your own security, Strongbox is one of the best choices here and I am pretty sure it’s the only choice on macOS.

Paid subscriotion - Lost all passwords
This was a very useful app, until it stopped accepting my subscription. Imagine relying on an app that you pay for month by month only for it to stop recognizing your payments. I have contacted support and alerted them, they acknowledged it but nobody fixed it. Then when i UNSUBSCRIBED the app let me in! So basically you have to come up with your own solution to access your database. Now when I fixed it myself I got a notification saying I can no longer access it with my FaceID, and don’t get me wrong - I understand that I should see it coming, but I trusted Strongbox. Now I have no way of accessory my database and that’s what I get for supporting your app. Lots of money spent, now lots of problems to solve myself. Sad.

Good, local and reasonably priced
As I mention, the program is working, well, the data are stored wherever you want it to be, so we can make it private, the price is reasonable. I have dumped one password and keychain for this app.
