Very playable

After few games played serving does not work at my iPad when my player is at the bottom of the screen. All serves goes into net. There is some bug

We’re used to the fact that there aren’t many good tennis games. Especially mobile games. This one can be considered as an exception to that sentence. The game graphics look like it’s made in 1990s or earlier, but in fact it was made much earlier. The pixel graphics remind me of those times. The steering looks like the classic one too. It’s only the matter of time when you finally know how to play. But there are actually 2 types of steering. That’s great that you can choose how you want to play. Except of one game mode: „Touch-tennis”. In this one you have to play with swiping. It doesn’t take to much time to get used to this type of steering too. The next thing is career mode. That’s awesome that there is every single tournament from real ATP World Tour calendar; starting from some ATP World Tour 100 to Masters, Grand Slam tournaments and World Tour Finals. However, it’s a shame that there aren’t qualifications at least to the Grand Slam tournaments. And the fact that you cannot Enter them even if you get to TOP 100 in the rankings. And about rankings; 200 players is an awesome result for a career mode in any tennis game. And the reality of tournament format e.g. 7 rounds in Grand Slam tournament. There is, however, a slight disadvantage: there are 2 tennis players in men’s world tour. By saying this I meant an American Pete and a German Boris. For experienced tennis fans they remind of 2 tennis legends: Pete Sampras and Boris Becker. But going further, we may find daily challenges. Excuse me, why do we have daily challenges in career mode when it should be as an other category? But let’s pretend that this didn’t happen and let’s go straight to the tennis court. Each tennis player has their own style of playing in this game and that’s a strong advantage. There is a thing that surprised me: the hawk-eye. I don’t really see them in other tennis games. However, it should be improved much more than it is right now. Why? Because after some bug fixes it’s still glitched. Sometimes the hawk-eye says that the ball was in, but in fact the ball was in the alley and it didn’t touch the line (in singles). There is also a glitch which makes you earn points even if the ball which you’ve hit lands in the net. Then using hawk-eye makes it say „In” and rewards us with a point if the ball didn’t land in the alley even if the ball doesn’t reach the other side. The other disadvantage is that it’s easier to beat #1 in the match than the #2. That makes no sense at all. Anyway, I think that this game deserves 4 stars. Really solid tennis game with a lot of improvements, but not glitchless. Unfortunately, one of the glitches changes the game completely (I meant using hawk-eye during a match).
