Economist in my life

I am almost 60 by now and therefore I have quite a number of items stacked into drawers beneath my biblioteque. Among them are a number of copies of Economist which I used to order and surely read from cover to cover in late 90s and at the beginning of XXI c. I was 37-42 by then.
Now that my son and business partner has turned 37 he has offered me to share his digital subscription of your magazine which I gladly accepted.
Back then In the 90s I used to make first steps in business activity when Poland had just emerged from communism. It was hard but predictable. Now we succeed with my son in joint ventures and our bank account is considerable though surely it is not a fortune, yet in my eyes it’s even better as quick money may become a curse.
What is sad is that The Economist is again a window to the better world in a country governed by uneducated populists dismantling what we managed to build as a society and installing puppet figures in politics and economy.
Finally you can spare money on air tickets as you more often than not wake up in a mixture of Venezuela and Iran instead of in the middle of Europe. So we keep working and reading The Economist. Thank you...

app is super slow pls fix that

The app started to work super slow both on an iPhone and an iPad. I also noticed today (20th July 2023) on an iPad that I use for reading articles that it is not possible anymore to select a single word in an article in order to search it on the web, or check in a dictionary directly from a context menu. There is only a copy option available now in the context menu which copies a whole paragraph instead of giving the other options available in the past. Is it a bug or an on purpose change? Please revert it back as it is very user unfriendly now.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for leaving us a review and I'm sorry to hear you have been experiencing slowness in the app. We’re currently working to resolve this and hope to have a fix released soon. Thanks - Melanie
