Excellent customer service
I had an issue, because my reservation was cancelled only few days prior to my arrival. Customer support was super efficient. Communication was fast and I was sure they will do everything to help me. They help me to find and reserved another car. I got refound for previous cancelled booking 2 days after.
To summarise, customer service is amazing! Keep doing great job!
Be aware, especially when You are not a US Citizen
I used this app twice. Once in New York and once in Florida. The second time I used Turo rented car in Florida some individual damaged it by his rental car. Police come and made a report that I was not responsible for damage and the other person is. After a month Turo contacted me that even though I’m not responsible (and the person who did damage had insurance) I had to pay for damage. What’s more no invoices details and any info how they found such costs came into my information. They want me to pay 1090,49$ for damage somebody did. What is shocking, they gave me feedback that I have to pay it because I’m not US citizen and the person who did it is. This app and Turo service act like scammers. Be aware, especially when You are tourist and not US citizen.
Extortion attempt
Rental experience itself was ok. It was our second time. The problem is that after our trip Turo want to extort money from us. During rental somebody else hit our car by his cars door, Police came and made a raport that somebody else caused a damage, the individual had his car insured and his insurance should cover damage. After we came back to Europe Turo told us that we are not US citizens so they will not try to take money from the person’s insurance who causes the damage, they want it from us because we are not USA citizens. Be aware if you are tourist and use this app because they will treat you as human of second category. Don’t know if this is racist policy of the company or they are just scammers.
