Not bad

I am missing the system music order like if I would like to add only one folder to the playlist because I often have my music from different singers and it is so boring to select songs again to add them! Especially when I have 500 songs and I need only 50 of them. Overall I like it and using for desktop instead of iTunes!

Pretty good but has some problems

The app has clear and pretty attractive design, but there are several problems. Firstly, there’s no scroll bar for “Recently added”. When it comes to sorting options there is no sorting by alphabetical order. After updating 3D Touch options often don’t work, and “Add to Que” doesn’t work. When I clear the queue and play any song, then add some song as next, and then another as “Add to que” there is the song I added as the next one, then there are songs which are down the list after the song which is currently playing, and at the very bottom there are songs I added to the que. I believe it shouldn’t work like that. I’m using this app only because I like the way it feels, but witch such errors I’m likely to go back to Apple Music app. This app offers nothing more than better looks compared with AM.

Overpriced much?

I just tried Vox comparing to stock Apple Music app. It would be really nice alternative if not because of some really annoying things: 1. UI black color not the best in terms of usability. No light theme option. 2. Browsing Artist view from local library is bad - all albums are listed as album names with text only and tracks below them. Add black theme and this is barely usable without focusing much to see where the album starts. At least small album covers next to the album names would be a nice option for better UI. The worst is last: almost 50EUR each year just to enable equalizer and get rid of the nag screens (if you aren’t interested in other premium options) is way too much if there isn’t an option to pay once to get the app. Big no-no to recurring subscriptions just to use an app.
