Wolt: Dostawa jedzenia 12+

We had a number of issues with our food deliveries in Budapest Hungary. When we placed and paid for our food order , the delivery time often changed. Our food arrived barely warm or even cold a few times because the company allows their delivery couriers to combine a number of orders at once . When such situations happened we were told that it was our problem if the food arrived late or cold . Our complains to wolt’s customer service went nowhere. We got their standard “ we are sorry but we will try to do better next time” reply and wolt’s customer service employees made no attempt at remedying the situation and not even once offered to wave the delivery fees for poor service provided by their couriers . Instead we were told that it was within the framework of their service agreement .. meaning once you pay for your food and wolt’s delivery and service fees wolt takes zero responsibility for delivering your order warm and on time but they do like to keep the money you paid for the delivery at the end… Great business model for the company .. unfortunately it’s not the greatest strategy for a long term …

I have been a Wolt customer for many years with over 100 orders. Today, I placed an order in Wolt Poland, the waiting time was 20-30 minutes. After making the payment, the ETA has changed to 80 minutes. I wrote to the support team that I placed the order because I wanted the specific delivery time that was shown in my order before I paid, that after such a long time I would not be at the address and I asked them to cancel my order. I was informed that the restaurant would lose the money and therefore Wolt couldn't cancel it. Basically, Wolt did nothing to settle the matter and covered themselves with the regulations. I am disgusted with the way they treat customers. I used to use Wolt in Cyprus for many years, where it has a wonderful customer service that always cares about the good of the customer. Pitty, that I can’t say the same about the one in Poland. Today they lost the devoted customer.

I have 80+ orders on Wolt and I’ve used other apps before such as Uber Eats and Pyszne. Wolt has a really enjoyable and modern user interface. From ordering to tracking, it’s seamless. I’m this regard, Uber Eats is not much different. However, the differentiating factor is that Wolt has a very proactive customer support. Even before you complain, they’ll often contact you to provide assistance if they detect something irregular. I’ve had a couple of issues with orders and almost every time they provided me some sort of compensation, if not the full refund, which I appreciate. The only things I’d like to see improved would be English menus instead of automatic translations, especially in the case of restaurants that do have English menus available.
