All 25,000 useful English words are ranked in the order of IMPORTANCE, and USEFULNESS, based on how often they are used in real-world spoken English (extracted from thousands of movies, and TV shows).
To actually learn the words that you discover in your Knowledge Map, WordUp gives you everything you need, and more! From word definitions and pictures to tens of entertaining examples from movies, quotes, news, and more. So you get a good feel of how to use each word in context.

There are also translations in more than 30 languages including French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Turkish, Persian, ...

Best flashcard application
This is so far the best application I've ever used. It helps me with keeping track of how many words I actually know in english. It helps me with learning new words, because it has an incredibely well designed word overview. There's a definition, there are example sentences. There's a translation in your native language (Polish in my case) and there are quotes, articles, video clips from tv shows and movies and many more, that show the real usage of a given word. Everything in one place, absolutely brilliant!
I've tested this app also on M1 macbook and it works great there too!
Recommend
It is a great app. It lets you adding your own language to see the words meaning. There are many examples of word usage in sentences from articles too.
I like the test at the beginning which tells your level and chooses most appropriate vocabulary to study based on that.
One of the best applications I have used so far!
Covers my need, but has bugs
I love this app, bought premium subscription, but the app is full of bugs: sometimes it just kicks me off or when I review cards on the map it pronounces the same one word between two on the cards, it’s really annoying.
Also after the last update fonts are so big!! it’s really not so convenient. If you would like to make the app more accessible, please add font size settings, so users could select the appropriate size for them.
Will be waiting for new updates with bug fixing and font size settings 🤗
