Unless you’re a green-thumbed gardening fan, you may not know that slugs are greedy greenery-munching nuisances. It’s something the residents of Minutia are all too aware of. As these cute bugs take on the slugs, you’re in control.
You and your bugs attack by linking icons on a puzzle grid of the kind you’ll have seen before. But this isn’t a match three game; it’s a linker, so you slide your finger up, down and diagonally across the grid to connect as many icons of the same colour as possible.
Each successful link is effectively an attack, which clears icons from the grid and also keeps eating away at the dastardly slugs’ health bar.
As you progress through the levels, there are myriad other conditions to meet to pass each stage – lsuch as linking a particular number of certain icons, or smashing open crates by linking tiles next to each of these boxy blockers.
There are a ton of different challenges to overcome and there’s always a timed event happening that adds extra bonuses for completing stages.
With new updates and content drops happening all the time, it feels like Best Fiends is just getting better and better.
