PARENT’S GUIDE

Make streaming family-friendly

Want to allow your children to roam free in your favourite streaming apps while minimising the chance they’ll stumble on content they shouldn’t be watching? Here’s a quick guide to making your favourite apps as family-friendly as can be.

Apple TV

‣ You’ll find family-friendly movies and TV shows in the Kids section of the Apple TV app.

Netflix

Netflix also lets you create a dedicated profile just for kids that limits access to age-appropriate content. To set this up, toggle the Kids option when adding a new profile. You can also choose between “little kids only” and “older kids and below” by going to Manage Profiles.

Amazon Prime Video

‣ You’ll find family-friendly content in the Kids section, but to limit access app-wide, go to Settings > Parental Controls > Viewing Restrictions. Here you can set age restrictions (General, Family, Teen) and apply them to specific devices.

And for kids only!

‣ Of course, some apps don’t require a dedicated space for children because everything they offer is family-friendly. Rest assured that your kids can safely explore the apps below.
