Complete Ruse

Do the maths and see for yourself:
I tried two ways of reserving an Airbnb: one through Avios and one without it, opening the same accommodation on the same dates through an incognito window. Each DAY of accommodation gets 4€ more expensive if you reserve through Avios. That’s 16€ for 4 days.
And this gets even worse when you see the ridiculous amount of Avios you get by doing this. It would be cheaper to directly buy Avios with this difference of 16€.
Now, if you do the maths again, is it worth it to buy 60.000 Avios for a promotional economy flight? It gets way more expensive than buying without those “”advantage”” clubs.
I tried with different products as well, everything gets more expensive and you end up paying an additional cost to use this “”advantage””
