Very good replacement for the Music app

Marvis is a very good replacement for the stock Music app. Very well done. I only have a (very annoying) issue with it: every time now the app doesn’t remember what it was playing and always starts at the playlists tab. Do you know if it is iOS related or is it a known issue of Marvis?

Developer Response ,

Glad you’re enjoying Marvis.

The fact that Music queue isn’t remembered after Marvis is quit is related to a setting in the App. There are 2 different types of players you can use, Stock Music(System) or Marvis(Application). If you choose Marvis as Player App, which I think you probably have chosen, the queue gets reset, it does offer some other features over choosing Stock Music.app, but overall you can decide which player is right for you by reading the differences under Important Notes listed below the Player App setting.

Also, if you choose Stock Music.app as Player App and have a habit of force quitting apps from App Switcher, quitting Music.app also resets the queue, that’s how Music.app works.

Hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have any more questions. Maybe it’d be more appropriate to talk via email or DM on Twitter/Discord.

Thanks for reviewing.
