Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.
It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and keeps videos playing in the background.
Note: The "can read information from webpages" text in the permission section is just unfortunate wording. Vinegar needs access to the web page to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!
(By the way, check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's basically a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites other than YouTube.)

If you want to listen to videos when you're on another app, try setting the video quality to 'Audio-only'.
After couple of days
So, after couple of days:
Opened YT -> Set Playback speed to x2 -> switched to another video -> Playback speed still x2
But sometimes, after I reopen YT (Not refresh, but reopen page) its like this:
Opened YT -> Set Playback speed to x2 -> switched to another video -> Playback speed now x1.
Maybe somehow it connected when I change speed via hotkeys or mouse. And cant say which is expected behaviour here.
Quality switcher toolbar. Set it on in settings. Sometimes appears only after page refresh. Also you cant see quality toolbar in Theater Mode.
Sometimes, without any reason, volume goes down. Cant say reason. Just...One video can be ok (90% volume) and next can be almost like muted via volume settings to 10-20%.
Can go full screen with double tap, but cant exit fullscreen with dobule tap.
Set to 4K in settings. If no 4K avaliable in video this video goes to Quality "Auto" why so? YT auto quality is piece of crap.
