Description
It is an on-site digital tour augmented reality mobile application suitable for iOS devices, which you can download for free.
The application supports both predefined routes, guiding the visitor to follow them, and autonomous exploration in the archaeological site.
You may choose one of the four digital avatars (Archaeologist - Ancient Man - Ancient Woman - Robot) who will welcome and accompany you, audibly presenting the appropriate content at each stop. Each character provides a presentation with a different style and degree of detail, giving the visitors the ability to choose what suits them best.
At some stops of the tour, you will be able to display on your device's screen 3D representations of selected buildings in life-size, as they were in ancient times, digitally placed in their actual location. These 3D reconstructions are presented on the screen as an additional visual layer above the actual image captured by your device's camera. Thus, with the use of state-of-the-art technologies, a small sense of the ancient grandeur of the space is given.
