Very useful, could do with minor improvements
For my first baby, I used to do this by hand but times have apparently changed :). This app covers most recordable data in an easy enough way (start/stop, left/right and my favourite - smart filling forms). I have bought the upgrade to be able to record two children. However, the app does not reflect that very well as it for example only marks "last" breast for each child individually :o) Mothers only have one set, people! Another minor issue which could be easily improved is "conflicts" - for example when I start feeding, the sleeping timer could (and should) stop.
From my paper-and-pen days I remember my problem with deciding how to count hours slept in a day and have decided to sum day+night (so say from 9pm when he went to bed till he was up for the day the next day so say 7am). It was not always 24 hours but was very accurate in relation to "a day". This app is way too strict with the 24 hour format to the point that it does not make sense anymore. It counts every sleeping segment STARTED in the 24 hours (12:00:01am - 12:00:00 am) within the day. So if baby falls asleep say 11.45pm and sleeps for 3 hours, these 2 hours 45 mins are still counted within the day when the sleep started. That way, you will end up with like 12 hrs of sleep in one day and 16 hrs sleep the next when in reality baby slept the same amounts of time. To make it easier to understand, if baby theoretically slept all day and woke up at 3am the next day, the app would count 27 hours in a day. Not ideal :-D.
What I really like are the built-in weight and height charts! Also reminders especially for moms feeding on schedule can be useful.
