Complex login system and poor customer support
This app has the worst login system I have ever seen. I recommended not to use this app if you are someone who travels. In order to login into Fi, you have to go through 4 or more steps :
1) OTP verification
2) Email sign in
3) Google account Sign in
4) Record a video saying out number aloud
They call it face verification
5) Sending an SMS from your registered number to their number ( They call it device verification and they don’t give a f… on the charges occurred)
Before you hit the send button, it will say timeout( in 2 seconds) which means you’re fingers and phone must be fast enough or else you go to step 1 again.
Why ? Why it has to be so complicated ? Why this is the only banking app to show off with these ridiculous steps to login in the name of security ?
If you are travelling outside India, there is NO WAY YOU CAN LOGIN TO FI. They have a International debit card with forex charges waived off but how can we use it ? What if I lost my card when I’m abroad or I need to set limits on my card or I need to access the app to send or receive money ? You cannot do it. When I reached out to customer service, they say they cannot help you with this.
There are much better apps available like NiyoX, please use them. Fi is not a technologically advanced banking as they cannot even bring a proper login system other than Indian SIM OTP. They hide their inability to bring a proper login system in the same of security and are fooling us. They have no plans to even bring at least an email-based OTP. I don’t recommend to use this app, don’t fall for their marketing.
