Fast Track to Your Ticket
How can you buy your tickets even faster and get updates on your journey on top of that? You get it with the ÖBB App, round the clock, wherever you are. Take the train and take it easy.
The ÖBB App comes with the following features:
• Tickets for trains, buses, the metro and trams: book your ÖBB tickets & get exclusive online specials such as the Sparschiene Österreich discount fares. You can also book the city tickets and weekly or monthly tickets of Austrian regional transport operators
• Pay your fares on the go with SimplyGo! The handy add-on for the ÖBB App automatically identifies the routes you travelled and calculates the matching public transport fare for your complete journey
• Secure your favourite seat on the Railjet: use the graphic seat reservation
• Find the best fare: see the ÖBB train services sorted by lowest fare first
• ÖBB Account: conveniently and securely store your personal data and means of payment, save your favourite routes, and receive additional exclusive offers (e.g. the Vorteilscard 66 discount card)
We are continuously working on the app to enrich it with new features and improve the usability.

Only nice when it works
I waited for 10 minutes for the authorisation of my payment to go through , train came, got in, and my ticket was still not purchased, even though I signed for authorisation (George, Erste).... and it is not the first time this happened! I really don’t think it’s great to have people pay fines because you are not able to take my money, when you’re supposed to. Not to mention that my credit card disappeared from my account, and every time I specify to save it, and it is not saved!
It does not deserve a star
The user experience is terrible. Most screens do not have a return button, only the option to return to the homepage of the app. This means that whenever you want to go back a step, you have to go to „home“ and then re-perform the entire process… terrible
SimplyGo feature stuck in Stopping trip...
I cannot stop the trip! Tried support call, but no answer in 15 minutes! Ticket ID if relevant: MI_0m3n3eb
I hope I will only be charged for the S7 trip from Vienna Airport to Wien Mitte.
