Hard pay to win mobile game
The game design, character customization and mechanics are geat.
In order to be among the best, you need to pay a lot of money. Even so, there are chances, while paying for crests, from which the legendaries gem are dropping, to get 1 star gems ( close to 0 importance in game). The chances to have a great 5 star gem rank 4 or 5 are very low. I’ve never seen a bigger money hungering company with low content during my 20 years of gaming experience.
Such a shame, the game has great potential.
Boring and unsatisfying
From a design point of view the game is among the best looking games on mobile period. And that's about it on the positive side unfortunately. The game is painfully boring and repetitive, the story only had my attention for the first 10 minutes. The missions that come with the story are boring and repetitive and same goes for the bounties daily missions etc. Then the fact that it doesn't have a 3rd person option and it only has this top view annoys me the most. You can barely see where you're going, a lot of the time the background and the scenery blocks your sight when you'd need the most amount of focus on a target, which just ruined the combat experience for me. I haven't experienced the pay to win part of the game because I deleted it after a week but I heard it's a very big issue for lots of people. Shame on Blizzard especially the CEO. Also the game is almost 18gb after all the downloads it does after you first open it, it's ridiculously big. Overall experience was meh, leaning towards bad, would not recommend
Welcome back to 2012
I have played many games in my life especially on smartphones, and I can not tell you the disappointment that I felt with Diablo immortal for which I waited 2 whole years. The graphics are horrible, I mean even the games in 2012 would look better, and also the game does not allow you to explore the world because of the very rigid quest line that tells you what to do every second. There is also the character customisation that is ok but for a game in 2022 it is awful because there is not option to match the colour of the head hair with the beard hair only if you remember what colour you used exactly on one of those. I don’t hate Blizzard but in the recent years they seemed to show a lack of interest for the games that they developed.
