The best language tool I have ever had

Scribd helps me to learn and practice different languages at different levels. I enjoy reading books. I have been using Scribd for almost three years and I am very happy to highlight that statement. Since I have Scribd I don't watch TV anymore because this wonderful reading platform always keeps me busy.
With the help of Scribd I have learnt almost ten languages. At the moment I am learning Chinese and Scribd supports me a lot. Thank you very much for your hard work. Keep it up!
I warmly recommend everyone to use Scribd.

Horrendous experience

1. You are being limited on how many books you can read/listen to, by an unknown number. When you have suddenly reached it, then it’s tough luck, you’ll have to wait until next billing time. The limit is put on “selected titles”, aka the books that most likely you got the app for and decided to pay for the subscription;
2. Moreover, when you have reached that cap, the “selected titles” disappear from your saved list under a subtab called “titles available soon”;
3. If you have reached the monthly cap and you search for a book (that is a “selected title”, but you don’t know that, because how can you), the book doesn’t show up. So you don’t know if it is or not available on everand. It may not be, or it is, but it just doesn’t appear because it is hidden for you, because you have reached your monthly cap. Just… wait until the next billing time to find out.
4. The app is slow and frequently unresponsive;
5. The progress tracker is a hinderance (eg.: it shows “58 pages left in book”, while you are on “page 46 of 56”, or you have finished an (audio)book but it shows “1 secs left”/ “1 page left”);
6. They have split 1 app (scribd) into 3 apps because why have everything handy and easily accessible;
7. You can’t actually see the full title of a book, if it is a longer title…

Hello! Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry for any trouble! For certain ebooks and audiobooks, there are monthly limits. One benefit of our diverse library is that we will always have something you can read in the meantime. Your subscription will unlock access to a selection of original titles published by Everand, magazines, articles, and unlimited podcasts. Worst Customer Service ever

I used to have a subscription and I noticed that my account was hacked. I have informed Scribd about this and they closed my account without my previous consent. By the time they sent me the email my account was already closed. Then they asked for copy of my credit card and statement of the last payment performed. I sent them that and then I waited for confirmation that my account can be used again, after changing my password. That never happened. I have sent them countless reminders and I wrote to customer support many times. I didn’t get any reply for over a month. Finally I opened another account but I lost all my saved books and documents. Now i have to start all from scratch. Shame on you Scribd. That is not the way to treat tour customers.
