Description

Winner of the 2021 iF Design Award 2021. Bluelink 2.0 takes linking your smartphone to your Hyundai to another level: The new Bluelink app enhances your Hyundai driving experience even further with a whole new look and even more Connected Car features. Find your Hyundai, or use the map feature to find parking, fueling stations, nearby restaurants, or other points-of-interest. Then simply send the destination to the navigation system in your car.

You can also use your phone as a remote to lock or unlock your car, and, if you drive a Hyundai electric vehicle, the app lets you control charging, as well as cooling or heating.

Here’s a list of our most popular connected car features:
1. Find my car: Never forget where you parked again. A map pins your Hyundai’s exact location.
2. Send to car: Find parking spaces, fuel stations, restaurants or other points of interest and send the destination to your in-car navigation system.
3. Vehicle report: Monthly reviews of vehicle starts, driving and idle time, driving distance.
4. My trips: See a summary of previous trips including journey time, distance driven, average and top speeds.
5. Vehicle status: Check in on fuel or charging level, doors and windows, heat or air conditioning, and battery level and lamps.
6. Remote door lock/unlock: Lock and unlock your vehicle.
7. Remote climate control (EV only): Set the temperature and activate the air conditioning remotely.
8. Remote charging (EV & PHEV): Check and control the charging process.
9. View around My Vehicle: Turn on the camera in the outside mirror to see what it currently sees.
10. Alarm: Receive notifications when the door locks are compromised.
11. User Profile: Save your profile and car settings to the Bluelink-Cloud for backups and transfers to a new Hyundai.
12. Valet Parking Mode (select models): Monitor your car (location, driving time, driving distance and top speed) while somebody else is driving.
13. Last Mile Navigation: If your destination can’t be reached by car, the app can take you there on foot.
14: Calendar: Sync your phone’s calendar with the app.
15. Personalisation: Turn features on and off and customise your app’s home screen.

Mandatory options

I have a full spec phev Tucson. Seems odd that I can see that I have open windows/sunroof, but can't close them from the app. Same for the electric tail gate. Would make a lot of sense

Developer Response ,

Dear User, features like that will be introduced soon with a new update for the app. Stay tuned for more! Best regards, your Bluelink Team

Useless in the EU

The only thing that can be done in the EU with this app is to lock and unlock doors remotely, and of course, you can see a bunch of car data, which of course Hyundai will store and analyse.
So it’s basically a useless data collection app.
For the same car model a bunch of useful features like remote start, A/C, Windows control etc is available in other places like the US.
I understand we have some environmental regulations, and you pretend to care about your green image (in the EU only), but why not allow me to connect my property, the car I bought with my own money, to my own self-hosted server, and decide for myself what I can and cannot do, and face consequences if there are any?
Slightly unrelated but, why do you force that broken speed limit and LKA to be on every time I start the car, and distract me while driving with annoying notifications, putting me and other drivers at risk? In the same time you show us the police location on the map so drivers can slow down and not get a speeding fine. Are you trying to replace the police? Why don’t I have freedom of choice and the right of self determination with my own property?
Why do you act as being the police / dictator/ anti-consumer?

Update app please

I understand the European rules, but at least let those who have the key start the application use the application for ventilation or climate. I'm referring to the fact that, in the winter when the car is snowy, I can start the car with the remote key, and then be able to set the temperature from the application without having to enter the car. may?

Developer Response ,
