Goodnotes is updated with new features constantly Though there are tons of features this is what I like the most: Ability to draw, edit and connect curves E-mail address for receiving documents directly in Goodnotes Shape recognition Note sharing with others Customizable textboxes Flashcards for learning Write continuously in a special window that follows the input content. It would be nice if it would have Romanian as a language for text recognition and password locked notes.
money hungry sharks
App was good initially, GN6 completely disappointed me. It’s a half-baked, featureless, sneakily pushed update that’s really only meant to pry more money out of you. You get nothing out of the deal. The features people were truly asking for have been pushed for future updates (even though we have been asking for the same things for years atp), meanwhile this supposedly “big” update gives you absolutely nothing. It presents spell check and handwritten math recognition (which was, by the way, only made possible by the kind users that took their time to develop the AI, probably not thinking the final product would be put behind a paywall). These features are completely useless for a lot of users. Colored folders do not justify this price. None of the “new features” do. In an effort to profit as much as possible from a very promising app and a very loyal community, you have ruined a good thing. I would’ve been fine paying for the update, if I was actually getting an updated app. This is, however, just a ridiculous cash grab.
There is room for more
Ever since I started using the app for taking notes during my lectures I fell in love with it and I don’t want to write them on paper ever again. It’s a wonderful tool for lazy people like me who like to make systematical notes with many connecting lines between the concepts while the professor is presenting a subject and not after the lecture as a review. I’m organizing everything from the beginning and it makes me understand everything more efficiently when I read my notes the first time.
However I would love to have the option make my custom templates directly in the app and also an option to manage the narrowness of the lined papers since I use to write as small as possible and get one lecture on a single page and have a wide view of the subject.
Thank you for your great work! It didn’t just change my life as a student, but it helped me bring my own style of taking notes on the digital level and reduce the waste of paper significantly.
