The app is good overall, I like that it can save certain regions to work with them offline, though it seems to have issues with loading the app if there's no Internet connection, even though you might have offline maps downloaded...
An Apple Watch version would be very nice to track everything with your watch.
Very good application for me. Version 2 – maps are more easy to read and see level curves. Marked trails and GPS positioning are excellent. More then several occasions when due to bad weather conditions marking of the trail was difficult to see and…it happened to get off dedicated trail. Application was in the pocket and very useful to get us back on trail with high accuracy. Even if not a fan of unmarked trails and I have done this only with extra caution and after collecting date from others who done it or from local reliable sources, this application successfully helped in this cases. Even if not market trail, GPS positioning on application map was surprising good, safely directing us towards target / or intersected marked trail.
Improvements…yeah sure can be made but overall very good app for me.
We've been using this App since many years. Previous versions had some bugs regarding live location which latest version solved.
Recent updates and features made the app more stable especially with live tracking/locating whilst on the trails. Price wise this App is by far the best option for Romanian hiking tours since it's very easy to use. Offline mapping works great and the App became the most used and the most reliable/accurate offline map source for us.
However, while with data signal do not forget to download on your phone the map/regions ahead of hitting the trails out there.

I have used this app intensively in the last couple of years. Upgraded to the new version hoping to find some features I missed in the past (routes combination, partial routes). Unfortunately I have not found these features but I’ve lost some of the old ones (static maps - is not the smoothest experience now to download a maps for a certain peak/group of mountains, routes legends - general routes legends were very useful, providing some insight about the length, elevation). I’ve tried to use tours but I haven’t found something useful yet - everyone can have a different tour (available time, level, usage of car of train etc) and is difficult to use a tour from someone else. Now I feel that I m using google maps without time estimates on the mountain and if I slightly zoom out to have a wider perspective I lose the trails.
I was an avid user of the previous version. Incredibly useful and easy to use for somebody who is pretty used with the Romanian mountains. A must have safety tool.
However, the update is losing its most useful feature: the ability to see all tracks on the map and your current position. All the bells and whistles added in the new version are useless without this basic function. It is also quite strange why the developer is choosing all the reviews that are basically saying the same.
I really tried to get used with it but every time it frustrated me and ended up closing it after few minutes.
I would definitely pay for the previous version even without any further updates. Please, please bring it back!
Este prima oară când dau o stea unei aplicații. (Și review-uri am mai scris)
Cred ca se pote scrie o carte despre ce este rău cu aceasta aplicație. UI și Funcționalitate dezastruoasa - ar trebui studiată in scoli ca exemplu notoriu de “așa nu!”
Câteva:
- felul in care tratează online/offline (pt o aplicație de munte este dubios sa nu ai offline mode ai sa depinzi de faptul ca ai mai încărcat harta anterior)
- felul in care nu poți trece din descrierea unui traseu in harta lui
- felul in care îți cere sa te login/plătești ca sa citești restul descrierii, apoi, ca logat - nu mai ai ecranul prin care ajunsesei la traseu. - nu mai ai ce descriere “lunga” sa vezi…
- pana și felul in care negru pe ocru înseamnă selectat și alb pe ocru înseamnă deselectat este absurd
Practic oamenii sunt lipsiți
- și de educația necesară designului unei aplicații (ok, nu toți sunt mai IT-isti)
- dar și de un simt comun, banal de estetica și de Funcționalitate (de parca nu ar fi văzut un telefon in viața lor)
- și posibil ai de iq (e doar o observatie deductiva și descriptivă, nu un atac - pur și simplu unii nu au cu ce ca nu s-au născut cu, nu e vina lor)
Trist este ca doar acești oameni au preluat acest demers frumos și lăudabil de a documenta intr-o aplicație (care se vrea) modernă munții noștri…
Aplicația este grozavă, dar m-aș bucura mult dacă
ar fi afișate traseele disponibile pentru zona hărții în care se află utilizatorul, indiferent de grupa montană din care fac parte traseele.
Momentan soluția este să selectez grupa montană cea mai apropiată de locul în care mă aflu, după care să sortez după apropierea față de mine a traseelor astfel încât să identific ce trasee sunt în zona mea.
În harta generală apar marcajele traseelor, dar nu se pot selecta și deci nu se pot obține informații despre ele.
Pentru un utilizator începător este un pic complicat de folosit aplicația deoarece sunt necesare cunoștințe geografice pentru identificarea grupei montane corecte pentru localitatea în care se află altfel nu va putea acces la traseele care sunt cele mai apropiate de el.

In the previous version you could have downloaded a map, like a printed map, not like the interactive ones in google maps in which once you zoom out you cannot see the trail signs any longer, not the village names or other points of reference. I am unable to get a complete picture of the hike I am planning because of this. For me it is completely useless. I am going back to the printed version :(
Very useful application for non-professionals. So far it brought us safe to wherever we wanted to go around Cluj.
Some nice improvements that are possible:
- also switch the map to a satellite/hybrid view, for better orientation
- mark favorite routes for easy finding
Hoped the new app would be an upgrade and bring more interactivity. Was disappointed to see that now you no longer see the trail signs (yellow line/blue cross etc) on the map, or even a simple legend for that matter. This new update is basically google maps with predefined trails....guys, you can do much better than that
