Description

OverPicture is a Safari Extension that allows you to play any web video in Picture-In-Picture mode.

You can enable Picture-in-Picture for any web video the following ways:
• Click the Picture-in-Picture toolbar button.
• In selected players like YouTube use the custom button.
• Press the P key while playing a video.

Notes:
• You can enable the OverPicture Extension from the Extensions section of the Safari Preferences pane.

Privacy by Design: OverPicture works completely on-device and does not store or send any information outside of the protected app sandbox.

Great plugin for Safari

Works like a charm

Lacks crucial functionality

No controls (forward, rewind) in the PiP window (why?!?!). Space does not pause/play the video. Shortcut 'P' only pops the video out, it does not then also place the video back...

This does the bare minimum: pop the video out and resize the window. Other than that you have 2 buttons: you can pause it, or you can pop the video back into the page, BUT, you need to click these buttons... no shortcuts...

These severe shrotcomings would've been fine if it were free, or if the description would mention these limitations.

Hi! Unfortunately the Picture-in-Picture video player window is provided by macOS and OverPicture cannot change or add features to it. You can use the 'P' shortcut also to exit the Picture-in-Picture provided that you are in the player tab in Safari.

Works like a charm !

Awesome app that works just advertised on any kind of video being run in Safari. This is just great when watching step-by-step tutorials without the need to exit the working app. The window can be resized and moved around with ease. Also it has TouchBar support inherited from Safari.

Would be nice to have some keyboard shortcuts for pausing, closing and fast forwarding or rewinding.
