I have been using the app since a few good years but the new UX is not user friendly at all! Can’t even find where to request money anymore. Everything is upside down and nothing makes sense New UI is hard to use. When I am traveling and need to switch between currencies now it will scroll the new statistics graph that is in the most inconvenient place. I have to be very careful to scroll in that small portion up top. I still can’t figure out how to change the order of the currencies. I mostly use 4 currencies and when I am in the country for the fourth one when I want to exchange to it only the top 3 countries will appear there and I have to manually search for the fourth one every single time. Even when I manually search the “recently used” is not working properly. It’s showing me the currencies as in the list of money not in the order I used them.
Lost money because they lacks basic functions switching to Wise

Read to see how you can lose money with them and why I'm switching to Wise! The only revolutionary thing about Revolut is in the name, otherwise they lack basic functions! They only offer eye candy to subscribe for card designs. Very weak compared to a bank! All merchants have and allow cancellation of an INCOMING card payment, but Revolut DOES NOT!!! I added money to Revolut account through the saved card that always took RON (being the default currency) due to the fact that it had probably remained on the euro screen (and they don't ask to select the currency when adding money and they don't display the full currency symbol, ex: USD, EUR.. only the short symbol like € that you can miss when you're in a hurry or look from a distance) app asked the bank for euros and the bank offered euros, making the currency exchange and me losing for the exchange (never mind I didn't needed to add 5 times more money..). I said it's okay, I'll just cancel/refund the incoming transaction from Revolut, but there isn't an option!!! I contacted support and they don't allow this! Well, any small merchant up to the banks can cancel an incoming card payment and Revolut can't?! They suggested to exchange the money with them (another commission here) and then send them back!! What bank is this!?

Revolut seemed like a great idea at first but everything turned sideways quickly. I’m a 19 year who thought Revolut would be a great idea as I wasn’t really into traditional banks. First couple of weeks were great so I decided to add some more funds to it which was a huge mistake. I am an aspiring musician and I mostly sell beats. When I thought I had finally caught my lucky break and got paid around 8.000€, I decided to put it all in my Revolut account WHICH WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! Of course I pay taxes so money laundering was out of the question. Revolut decided to block my account without giving me specific details but instead asked me for documentation that proved I wasn’t involved in any illegal activities. As a law-abiding citizen I promptly provided all the documents that were requested, despite my tardiness Revolut decided to keep me away from my funds for approximately a month and then give me 48 hours to withdraw all funds from my account as it would be subsequently blocked. What I am trying to say here is this: As far as I can tell, because they greatly lack any sense of transparency, I basically gave them a 0 interest loan of 8.000€ for a month which in my eyes in a TOTAL SCAM. I would’ve recommend this app to anyone looking for something reliable and trustworthy. I would also like to add that if you must use it DO NOT DEPOSIT MORE THAN YOU ARE PREPARED TO LOSE!
They limited my account when I needed it the most

I used to be in love with Revolut. I recommend it to all my friends and family. And then I had to make a larger payment (rent deposit) and of course I decided to use Revolut. Great exchange rate, no commission, what’s to lose, right? Wrong! The weekend before the transfer, my wife transferred me some money. It wasn’t a very large sum, but just a bit larger than the usual (for the deposit). So Revolut limited my account on Friday requesting proof of income and whatnot. Fine, I uploaded the needed files and then support contacted me inquiring about the nature of the transfer my wife made :|. I provided that also and they decided I wasn’t laundering money or something so they unlocked the account on Saturday. All was fine and well again... until Sunday. Account limited again, the same story - proof of income and the whole story again. But on Sunday support is not available, since, well, it’s Sunday. So they responded on Monday. After multiple attempts of contacting them (remember, I had to do the transfer on Monday). Most of my money were blocked on Revolut for the transfer and limiting my account meant I couldn’t get them out and I was afraid that if I transfer them back to my wife, she would have to go through the same stupid process again.So yeah, if you like living on the edge, do use Revolut.
