Critical Acclaim

* “Through a combination of a choose-your-own-adventure-style visual novel and a Paradox-esque game, you have to pull the young republic out of a terrible recession while dealing with entrenched, corrupt political factions and a looming border conflict.” - PC Gamer

* “The press will lie. Parliament will ask you to sign bills with misleading titles. The people will inspire a song called "My Electorate Are Stupid Pigs". Your principles may be your strongest weapon or your downfall. This is politics. This is Suzerain.” - Rock Paper Shotgun

* “The nuanced dilemmas it presents, set against a detailed and convincing backdrop of mid-20th century history in a fictional world, make it one of the most fascinating political strategy games of the past several years.” - VICE

BRILLIANT! a must-play

what an absolutely amazing experience.
easily one of the most immersive political simulation games out there… from the moment i started the game i was BLOWN AWAY by the depth and realism the game offers. every decision feels significant, and the multiple-choice format isn’t just about picking right or wrong — it’s abt navigating complex, morally gray scenarios where every action has lasting consequences.
the choices you make shape your nation, your alliances, etc. the pressures of balancing power, keeping promises, and managing the needs of the different groups in sordland is eerily reflective of real-world politics… no matter how hard i tried, i never felt like there was a “perfect” path. and the replay value is off the charts!!! so many reappearing characters that chime in during the story, even ones from the prologue…
i do find myself wishing for a “best” true ending — a definitive outcome where all my choices align perfectly, though i appreciate that life (and politics) rarely offers that clarity
overall, this game is a true “chekhov’s gun” situation — nothing is ‘random’ and every brick of information or choice is revisited over the course of the game
another thing i appreciate is the fact both the prologue and end are mirrored (with the UI especially), while the actual story is placed on a dynamic and immersive UI to actually make you feel like your choices matter
the only ever “improvement” i’d truly wish for is visual scenes for any distributed documents from your peers (ex: symon showing you the economic statements, the draft for the reforms etc).
THANK YOU for such an amazing game!!! best money i’ve spent for a simple game in my life
