Learning arithmetic can feel like an uphill struggle. With Fiete Math Climber, you’re still climbing – but the ascent involves fast-paced games, winning coins, riding a super-rocket to the the next level and unlocking cute characters.
To start your journey, create a profile and Fiete Math Climber will make sure the games suit the player’s age.
Tasks start easy, involving basic arithmetic using single digit numbers. Perform a correct calculation and you’ll earn coins. Occasionally, a sum will smash a pinata, releasing a bounty of coins; or even catch you a ride on a rocket – which earns even more. You can spend your hard-earned coins on a collection of cute characters.
You get regular prompts – to switch to a new discipline, or make the level harder (or easier). The games generally get more difficult as you progress through the levels.
And it’s easy to track progress. You can have more than one player per device and each has a personalised dashboard, which displays stats including the number of tasks solved, error rate, total play time, and number of coins collected.
The more you play, the more Fiete Math Climber learns about you, which means the app tailors the tasks to improve upon the issues it identifies. Coming a cropper on the times tables? Your games will involve more multiplication, until you catch up. It all adds up to a smart way to make learning maths fun.
