Description
CAN Studio is an ISO 15765-2 CAN frame utility for quickly and easily understanding the contents of CAN bus data frames.
Inspect frame packet data and frame structure in one place on any of your devices. Decode SAEJ1979 standard OBD parameter values instantly, with live-updates as you type.
Features:
- Copy frame data as hex bytes, as base64 encoding, and as ASCII text.
- Import PacketLogger .pklg files that contain OBD scanner session data to automatically extract OBD command/response messages.
- Import ScanLogs from Sidecar, the automotive assistant (also available on the App Store).
- Analyze signal data with interactive charts.
- Decode extended vehicle parameters via the OBDb (http://github.com/obdb).
- Decode ISO 15765-4 CAN 11-bit ID and 29-bit ID.
- Decode SAEJ1979 Service 01 standard parameter id values.
- Edit OBDb signalset definitions.
What’s New
Version 2.4.3
CAN Studio's signalset editor is now a VSCode extension called "OBDb tooling". This tooling is installed automatically when editing any OBDb repo using a VSCode devcontainer.
- Scan sessions can now be viewed in a structured or plain layout. In structured layout you can easily filter commands for easier scan session analysis.
- You can now load make-specific signalsets by leaving the model field empty.
- The new OBDb filter property is now supported when loading scan sessions.
This release also includes the following bug fixes:
- Fixed bug where the response generator would get stuck in an infinite loop and crash CAN Studio.
- Fixed bug where resizing the window would cause CANStudio to stutter.
