As you turn and twirl your Apple Pencil Pro while drawing in Astropad Studio, the brush you’re using also turns. Note that barrel rotation needs to be activated for most brush sets. • SQUEEZE GESTURE (APPLE PENCIL PRO): With the new Apple Pencil Pro, you can squeeze the sides of the Pencil together to activate shortcuts. This gesture can be customized in Studio’s Shortcuts panel to quickly switch between your most-used tools while drawing in desktop creative programs. • ADAPTIVE IMAGE RENDERING: LIQUID is our proprietary video compression engine that powers Astropad Studio. With this update, LIQUID now renders images using Adaptive Image Rendering — an advanced algorithm that balances fast and high-quality video compression. You’ll notice 53% clearer image quality during high-motion content. • CURATED SHORTCUT PRESETS: The Studio sidebar now has shortcut presets that are curated for an expanded list of apps. CUSTOM QUICK KEYS This new feature allows you to add up to seven custom on screen keys to help improve your workflow! • Customize - set to any combination of keyboard commands • Per app customization - keys stored per app, so you can have one set for Photoshop and another for Illustrator, etc. • Hide/show modifier keys - Hide some or all of the traditional modifier keys like Option (⌥) or CTRL (⌘). There’s no longer any need to open up the Sidebar for frequent actions. Set your Custom Quick Keys to frequent actions like: • Switching tools • Changing brush sizes or colors • Adding or removing layers • Changing between frames Our goal with Custom Quick Keys is to make your workflows even smoother and keep you in the zone.
