Blackbar is a text game: a sci-fi story of a dystopian future told through the medium of word puzzles. Reminiscent of text adventures and interactive fiction, it has a unique mechanic centered around the concept of censorship. Censorship is frustrating, but the human spirit can beat that frustration by turning it into a game.

Potentially great game

I really liked the concept of the game i think it has an incredible potential. It is also beautifully designed. But there is much to be desired. It is quite an expensive game (for me at least - i could have had an ok dinner out in russia for that money) with a low level of versatility. I hope you add more options (so that more that one could be right), more hints and more paths. It is just very short and repetitive. Sometimes it is also dull as it requires the sames skills. I hope you improve and the next versions will be incredibly engaging.

I like the idea, but story really could be longer and more interesting. Hope there will be a sequel :)

Fun, but waaay too short for $3. I’ve finished it in about two hours. Good knowledge of English is a prerequisite.

A note to developers: it can be frustratingly hard to erase a character inside a one-character field. I suggest extending the hit area to the right.
