In Barbarian Invasion, Rise of Byzantium, and Legend of the Vikings, multiple parties vie for the throne. European War, for the first time in its serious, adopts the diplomatic system in the conquest model featuring undetermined camps. Players can convince other parties to join the force via diplomacy method. Build cities to increase material output, research policies to change the direction of the country, change the consuls to get more tax revenue. The occurrence of historical events will affect the battlefield situation, and complete the mission to obtain battlefield rewards.
Hundreds of generals and distinctive armed forces are at your disposal.
There are over 150 generals, including Frederick I, Saladin and Beowulf. Become legendary commanders like Genghis Khan, Joan of Arc, Richard I, William Wallace and fight in the wars. Игра весьма интересная, довольно простая по сравнению с другими играми данной студии (играл во все, начиная с world conqueror 2).
Добавили много новых механик и сделали генералов более универсальными, а из юнитов можно делать общевойсковые армии, а также пополнять раненых юнитов новыми, в результате чего генералы живут долго (если вовремя отводить в тыл) и могут проявить себя в разных направлениях (можно вкачать гену и пехов и коней и будет он шатать все что видит). Кроме того во многих миссия и в тавернах замков Конквест можно вызывать своих генералов с поставленными вами юнитами (aetis и Ольга в пати с two handed swordsman передают привет всем врагам и готовы насадить из на те самые мечи в соло)
кроме того в тех же конвестах их вроде вообще можно высаживать всех сколько у тебя есть. В плане дипломатии в конквестах, да и вообще в них сделали огромный шаг вперёд, глядишь через пару игр будет полноценная дипломатия как в age of civilisation 2)
изменили прокачку юнитов, теперь там лутбоксы, которые, однако, не мешают прокачиваться и играть без доната, так как карточек на улучшение падает очень много. Кроме того поменяли укрепления с прошлых частей - вместо них теперь war gear - разные сооружения, вроде специализированных кораблей и полевых госпиталей, которые привязаны к группам юнитов
И я дико ору с чела сверху который не может пройти 32 лвл с тремя донатными генералами. У меня такой один - купил Ольгу чтобы поддержать разрабов, так как игра в отличии от прошлых частей бесплатная. Так вот спокойно проходится без них и с весьма посредственными war gear (можно вообще даже на Харде использовать только тех генералов которых дают до 32, а их дофига и юзать только те war gear которые дают для миссии). Собственно уровень проходится спокойно, мне сложнее проходить специальные миссии генералов вроде spear of Byzantine, но это только потому что мне лень подстраивать юнитов генералам под каждую главу

Единственное нарекание - ряд специализированных миссий генералов доступен только после их покупки, а там есть миссии по всем донатным генам, хотя общая кампания (с кучей контента) доступна и так, а она в разы интереснее, так что это не проблема

Первые шесть компаний прошёл за неделю, очень жду новых эпизодов!
На «харде» миссии существенно сложнее, на четвертной компании уже тяжело, даже первый уровень не могу преодолеть.
