Description

Recess needs "Screen Recording" permission only to be able to pause when a given app being frontmost. It does not send anything to outside the machine.

We know that it is not good for the health when spending hour after hour in front of computer screen. This might effect our bodies negatively, e.g., stiff, throbbing, ...

Recess is really necessary. We need to take a short break to relax our body, for example, look outside, stand up, stretch the legs, and walk around a bit, ...

Sometime we forget to relax, even a small break. Recess App will remind regularly us to take breaks.

Pro version avoids waiting some seconds before showing statistics of more than 7 days, and allows to configure advanced options.

Recess lives in our menu bar!!!

Хорошая программа

Когда работаешь за компьютером, то можешь смотреть на экран несколько часов без перерыва и забывать про отдых, эта программа вовремя заблокирует экран и скажет что нужно отдохнуть. Спасибо разработчику, раньше было много недоработок, сейчас всё гораздо лучше.

Ok, but there are bugs

The program is good. But there are several bugs:
- if an application is open in full screen, the tooltip pops up from the bottom left (right: top right)
- when the tooltip pops up - the cursor in the text editor loses focus (the tooltip takes focus of the cursor)
- I can not see the text description near the interval setting (in the dark interface theme)

Best screen time app around

It's very streamlined and to the point. No BS, no overly complicated menus. Just a neat little circle in the Top bar and some snooze options.
