Most reps listed are US-based. Some Canada-based and Mexico-based reps also are listed. Business-to-business products have more reps available than consumer products.

Manufacturers' representatives, often referred to as manufacturers' reps or manufacturers' agents, are independent contractors who sell multiple lines of complementary, non-competing products.

To oversimplify, a rep selling fasteners might sell nails, screws, bolts, staples, and adhesives, each from a different manufacturer. But the rep would not sell identical nails from two competing manufacturers.
