Description
The Special Olympics International Football Championship (SOIFC) 2019 is an initiative of the Special
Olympics, a global organization certified by the Olympic committee, that serves over 5 million
athletes around the world with intellectual disabilities and promotes inclusion of the special
community.
The SOIFC 2019, likely to be India’s largest humanitarian sports event ever, intends to raise
awareness about the differently-abled community. It is scheduled to happen between August 3 rd to
6 th at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai, where top international football players from 25+
countries will make history, competing for the Championship Cup cheered by over 1 lakh spectators.
