Want to learn more about the world around you? Keen to discover new things about art, music, philosophy and more? All you need is Radio Arzamas (and your headphones) to start learning on the go.

Pick from 11 different topics including anthropology, literature or Russian history. Every topic is comprised of a number of courses, ranging from “Understanding Japan” to “Crime and punishment in the middle ages”. Each course takes approximately three to four hours to complete, with individual sessions lasting 40 minutes, so you can dip in and out as you please.

If you prefer something less structured, try podcasts. Lasting for around 40 minutes each, you’ll find interviews, investigative journalism, talks or discussions that will broaden your perspective on the topics in focus. There are also audio versions of the online articles featured on the Arzamas website.

Those hours spent listening to incredible people sharing their knowledge and stories feels like a lovely personal accomplishment, so check out your progress in the app. You’ll be able to see what level you belong to and how many hours of listening you need to progress to the next one. Radio Arzamas gives you fun examples of things that could be done over the amount of listening time you’ve left until the next level – two train journeys from Moscow to Petushki, for example.

If you’re enthusiastic to discover even more, you can unlock exclusive content and get early access to new releases when you subscribe.
