Description

Why is the flag being flown today? What time should the flag be lowered?
The Ministry of the Interior’s Liputan application provides information on why the flag is being flown today and what times it should be raised and lowered. Based on the user’s selection, the application provides advance notification of upcoming flag days.

If your phone's location is switched on, the app will automatically display when the flag should be flown in your location.

In addition, the app provides background information on flag days and general information about flying the flag, including answers to frequently asked questions.
There are some rules in Finnish flag flying culture, but in principle flying the flag is a joyful and dignified way of honouring Finnishness. The app is part of the #Liputan campaign of the Ministry of the Interior.
