واتس علوم هو تطبيق أخباري من صحيفة الشبيبة يهدف إلى إدخال مفهوم رائد جديد إلى السلطنة، ومبادرة تهدف إلى وقف ترويج الشائعات. فالأخبار المنشورة ستكون مبنية على التأكد من المصادر الرسمية. وهدفنا هو وقف انتشار الشائعات التي تكون لها آثارها السلبية على المجتمع. ونحن نثق أن نشر الأخبار الأصيلة المتحقق منها عبر الإنترنت سيقدم إسهاما إيجابيا للمجتمع.
وفي حين أن التركيز الأساسي لواتس علوم سيكون هو الأخبار المحلية، فإن الأخبار الدولية العاجلة ستكون أيضا جزءا من هذا الإصدار. كما أن مفهوم واتس علوم في بث الأخبار من مصدرها الرسمي يشجع الناس أيضا على المشاركة في نشر الأخبار الموثقة.
