Carla Car Rental - Rent Abroad ‪٤+‬

I rented several times with Carla. Always good customer service and good prices. Every year I travel to Europe with my family. I went to Munich this year and I rented 7 seater van from Europcar. Price was really good. All the other car rental agencies were sold out. Only Carla had minivans available. I reserved 7 seater Ford Galaxy for a reasonable price including unlimited mileage. I paid exactly the amouny shown on the app.
Then I rented Mercedes Vito van in Istanbul. They upgraded to Mercedes Maybach VIP van. Van had TV, iPad and refrigirator in it. It was really comfortable. Carla always supports throughout the journey and very powerful with European car rental companies. I also buy full coverage insurance so that I am covered in case of accidents. Buying on Carla is much cheaper to car rental company.

I rented a car from them to pick it up from the airport, and when my flight arrived. I could not find the rental car office (Nokta) that would rent me the car at the airport, and there are no rental car offices that know anything about this Nokta. After a long search, I found him a phone, and I called them twice until he arrived after waiting for a long time. At the end, he came with a totally different car, old model that I chose, and it had bangs. And he took me and my family in the middle of the night to a place he said it’s the rental car office, and when we arrived, I found that it’s an auto parking, and there is no office in the name of his company!! He asked me to pay 5,000 cash as security or insurance deposit even though the rent amount includes insurance. I asked him to withhold the amount from the visa and then return it to the visa again because I’m a tourist and I’ll travel from the country and I will not be able to comeback to take it, but he refused completely. I asked him to contact Carla, the intermediary between me and him said literally - I do not know what Carla is. In the end I did not take the car and I asked Carla to return the amount paid, but they did not return my money back yet.

It was my first time using this app. I was in the UK and I wanted to rent a car. The rental rates were amazing and all. So I picked a car from a well-known dealer and paid around 300£ to this app including the full coverage & unlimited miles package. However, once the payment was processed and a few hours later, I received an email telling me that the dealer was changed and I had to go to another local one in a different city. I tried contacting them but there was no luck. So the next day I had to travel 2 hours just to get to this rental place that I have never heard of. Once I got there, I had to upgrade the car because it was not the one I picked in the app. It was a tiny electric car and what i picked was a VW Passat. I also had to pay again for the full coverage and unlimited miles packages. There was no number to call. I did email them looking for some explanation and asking for my money back. It’s been a month now and I have not heard back from them yet. I wish I knew before and saved myself going through this horrible experience!
