The tool does not work properly

the tool doesn't work well on all websites on safari plus the only color that is working is the yellow one, I chose multiple ones but it did not changed still yellow.
In addition, I cannot select texts to copy as the monitor disappears after coloring the text even though I turn the coloring option off which makes me furious especially when I'm writing an important paper.

Thank you for your review, I'm taking notes of all of them.
I think a page refresh will do the trick in this case - just refresh the page, maybe some settings remained there and you cannot change them.

problem with the highlighter

When I close the webpage and reopen it, the highlighter disappears.

The problem was fixed after restarting my Mac.
