Back those days when anime wasn't that famous, there was no a good platform to create your list, see recommendations, ratings and those other helpful things.
I mean I am really grateful that MAL is there

Right now, we’ve got a few high priority features at the top of our to-do list (including adding Dark Mode and Manga), so we’re still figuring out where other your requests will fit into the timeline.
