Description
The ‘AR Number Line’ app is an innovative augmented reality application for mathematics education and the development of mathematical skills. The app links real-world proportions with a virtual “endless” number line. By placing the interactive number line in real space and allowing users to move along it, mark numbers, or transitions between numbers, the app enables a new way to explore numbers and numerical relationships. Special potential is evident in larger number ranges, which are typically only visualized in segments or greatly reduced in size. The app is a pre-release version in development, but it is already functional and is currently undergoing a scientific trial phase in elementary schools. The app will continue to be actively developed during the evaluation phase, and insights will be incorporated into future updates.

• Added option to darken the camera image for better contrast
• Added option to move pins by long-pressing and dragging
• Added option to delete pins by long-pressing and quickly dragging up or down

• Negative numbers on the number line can now be shown or hidden
• Team mode allows syncing number lines across multiple devices
• Color selection is now possible to customize the appearance of number markings and connecting arcs
• Localization for English, French, and Spanish added
• Numbers can now also be edited by tapping on the number display and tasks at the top of the screen, creating a synchronized representation between symbolic, iconic, and enactive levels
• Localizations added (English, Spanish, French, Italian)
• More settings options (e.g., automatic color changes, showing or hiding numbers, etc.)
• Haptic feedback added for supported devices
• Bug fixes
