How to start using Bridgefy:

1.- Turn on Bluetooth
2.- Open Bridgefy, making sure you have an Internet connection (only needed the very first time you open it)
3.- Go to the Broadcast tab
4.- Start sharing messages with people that are within 330 ft. (100 mts) from you

Please refer to the FAQ tab for instructions on how to start a private chat!

You don't need to add contacts to Bridgefy. The app automatically detects other Bridgefy users around you and lets you chat using the Broadcast section.

Please keep in mind Broadcast messages can be seen by anybody nearby.

Good! Love the concept!

Good app! Like to prepp for when things dont work, like when you are in a crowded space and the cellular data wont work.

But have some thoughts, that I have to have the app running at the same time that the person you send to has it? Would have been really good if I send a message and then "tabbing" to another app and it then continues looking for the recipient to send the message to. Now it just pauses for me anyway, don't know if that's even possible but would have felt like a good feature.

Except that you can't receive notifications when offline

Hi there, Bridgefy does not feature the ability to receive offline notifications yet, but it's something we're working on for the future. We'd love to get your rating/review on the feature we're proudest of, which is being able to share messages when you don't have access to an Internet connection! Thank you!

Why do you need my number?

The concept of this app is great! But the app itself raises a number of red flags:
- Asks for your phone number: Why, for a local Bluetooth app?! Completely non-anonymizes, not good for use in protests.
- No clear statement in EULA that everything is encrypted.
