Looks better than it is, but what is is still ok.

PROS: Light and clean interface with good potential. Some visual appeal that doesn’t exist in other like apps.
CONS: A bunch of little things that add up to an app you just don’t really want to use. Examples are things like bright scroll bars on a dark background, ruining the visual experience. Or when typing into a ‘node’ your words jump around, not settling until after you finish editing. When it comes to make a new ’sibling' node you have to leave the keyboard to create a new node with your mouse which isn’t bad, but certainly slower than simply hitting a keystroke. The app doesn’t seem to remember some of your preference settings, which are few to begin with. Lastly, you get a message on every new and old workspace you open telling you ‘Welcome to Delineato… Simply annoying. Slow update cycle.
VERDICT: I really wanted this app to work, but alas I simply don’t use it because it feels unrefined and a little buggy. Granted the refinements may not bother some and the ‘bugs’ are really just small annoyance but still, I expect a little more from mind-mapping apps where they’re designed (or at least should be) with visual note-taking & brainstorming in mind. I can’t recommend this app just yet but perhaps after a few updates it might be worth looking into again. Having said that note the slow update cycle suggest this could be awhile. 2 3/4 stars.
